01 / First run · Story action + Story puzzles
Finish the story and save a separate clear file. Collect Sakuko’s Diary (1–3) in Worship Hall and Clinical Trial (1) on the fifth Ebisugaoka visit: later runs replace them with new pages. During the first ending’s boss fight, aim for The Bird that Flies Highest without dying. Record missed miscellaneous trophies before entering a new area; there is no chapter select.
02 / New Game+ · Hard puzzles + branching endings
Load that clear file. Do not consume Red Capsules anywhere in this run. Collect Sakuko’s Diary (4–6), Clinical Trial (2), newly opened paths and the Sacred Sword puzzle items. Save manually before the UFO trigger, before purifying the Sacred Sword and before entering Shimizu Residence: that entrance locks the ending. Use your backups to earn Fox’s Wedding, The Fox Wets Its Tail and The Great Space Invasion! without restarting three entire games. Finish one full ending and keep its new clear file for the next run.
03 / New Game+2 · Lost in the Fog action + puzzles
Start from a clear file displaying two complete endings. Select Lost in the Fog for BOTH action and puzzles; action difficulty trophies stack, puzzle trophies do not. Pick up the later diary and trial pages, increase Omamori slots and prepare the final ending. Do not use the optional New Game+ section skip: Konami says it blocks Thankful to Be Here, Grateful for a Worthy Foe and Clear Skies.
04 / Cleanup · difficulty and missables
Check the trophy list for the separate Hard action, Story puzzle and Hard puzzle clears. If one did not unlock, load an earlier manual save or make another full run on that setting. Replay the relevant boss from your manual save for boss-specific trophies; a clear file alone cannot select a chapter. Keep the PS5 online when popping trophies if you encounter synchronization issues.
02 / ENDING PATHS
Open only the ending you need. Keep independent manual saves before important branches.

Complete your first run. This is the first-run ending.
SHOW SPOILER / Fox’s Wedding
In New Game+, avoid every Red Capsule, obtain Agura no Hotei-Sama, and either purify the Sacred Sword or leave it uncollected.
SHOW SPOILER / The Fox Wets Its Tail
In New Game+, avoid Red Capsules, acquire the Sacred Sword and leave it UNPURIFIED.
SHOW SPOILER / Ebisugaoka in Silence
In New Game+2, use a clear file with two complete endings. Avoid Red Capsules, purify the Sacred Sword and offer the Brooch at the Ancient Jizo Statue during the fifth Ebisugaoka visit.
SHOW SPOILER / The Great Space Invasion!
In New Game+, hear the UFO radio broadcast, inspect all three movie posters in order and read the movie review. This joke ending does not count toward the two complete endings required for Ebisugaoka in Silence, nor difficulty clears.
03 / MISSABLE CHECKLIST
- Collect Sakuko’s Diary (1–3), (4–6) and later pages in their respective runs; collect Clinical Trial pages one per run.
- Use manual saves before the ending-specific bosses, the Inari statue door puzzle and the Shimizu Residence.
- Do not confuse action difficulty stacking with puzzle difficulties: complete each puzzle setting separately.
- Do not change down from Lost in the Fog when pursuing its action trophy.
- Avoid the New Game+ skip if you need Thankful to Be Here, Grateful for a Worthy Foe or Clear Skies.
